Who we are

Brian & Amanda Scott owners of Boulder StoneScapes, Apple Wood Ovens & 63rd St. Farmstead Design & Consulting.

Brian Scott has been a stone mason in Boulder, CO since 1995, starting out with Big Horn Masonry & Chimney.  Studying the art form of masonry from his mentor Kevin Macurdy, he learned all of the techniques to become a mason using old world techniques. To then eventually purchase Big Horn Masonry & Chimney from the Macurdy Family. Eventually changing the name to Boulder Stonescapes.

Stone Masonry is a lost trade that in many ways is a functional art form.  Brian uses old world techniques of stone masonry & sources as much stone locally as possible from local colorado stone yards. Building with stone will ensure your project will stand the test of time.

Amanda Scott keeps the Farm in production.  She offers a farmstead design and consulting option to assist others in producing their own food.  The farm has been based around a Permaculture model through High Altitude Permacultre.  Brian & Amanda have both completed  several certifications in Permaculture Design.  Learn More Here

They also own Applewood Ovens.  We bring wood fired cooking to a whole new level.  Brian has researched and developed  his own internal cores for pizza ovens through Applewood Ovens that stand up against any other competing brand. Come see one in action at a Farm Concert, find more info Here.  Brian has been building ovens since 2002, incorporating them into many backyard living spaces and outdoor kitchens throughout the years. Check it out Here.
